This is a vintage English ceramic teapot in the Mayfair pattern by Gibsons, Staffordshire, England. Circa 1950s. Vivid hand-painted roses with deep pink petals, yellow tips, and deep green and gray leaves against an iridescent lusterware ground. The handle and spout are fully gilt in gold; the lid is peach lusterware with a gold finial. Backstamped "Gibsons Staffordshire England" and embossed "Gibson Made in England, Mayfair." One piece available.
Crazing throughout — completely typical and expected in English ceramics of this age, and in no way affecting the beauty or integrity of the piece. No chips or cracks.
